If you’re Stephen Lordo of the St. Louis University High hockey team, you hurl your stick into the front rows of Scottrade Center, blade first.
In hockey parlance, we believe that’s termed a “sick celly.”

In spite of being outshot 28-16, the Junior Billikens managed to earn a 2-1 overtime win over rival and defending champion CBC.
“The whole year, we had one thing in mind and that was to make history, and we’ve done it,” senior forward Stephen Lordo said. “That’s the greatest thing we could have brought to the school -- its first state championship.”
The SLUH fans went berserk when Lordo scored. To the point where they didn’t even mind getting hit with flying sticks.

Ah, youthful exuberance.
(We would suggest NHLers should ignore the potential inspiration from Lordo’s celebration, lest Milan Lucic accidentally impale someone in Row B.)
