Andrei Zubarev’s ‘Crazy FacePuck’ own-goal during KHL playoffs (VIDEO)

Based on the available evidence, we have deduced that Atlant defenseman (and 2005 Atlanta Thrashers draft pick) Andrei Zubarev may in fact have telekinetic powers that have yet to be harnessed.

How else to explain his bizarre bank shot off the end boards that resulted in a goal against Severstal earlier this month? How else to reconcile that the same player had a puck bounce off his head behind his own goaltender on Monday vs. SKA in the KHL Gagarin Cup playoffs?

Well, telekinesis, with an accidental header at the end ...

The KHL titled this video "Zubarev's crazy facepuck goal," but it looks like the puck deflected off of his helmet. Also, Zubarev didn't crumple to the ice in a heap of anguish after Dmitry Kallinin's shot ricocheted in, which is another telltale sign it may have been "crazy lidpuck goal."

Atlant lost the game, 5-1, to SKA. Zubarev was a minus-2.
