We've often said that every NHL fight should be called by the hysterical (in every sense) Boston Bruins announcer Jack Edwards, who elevates even the most pedestrian bout into a main event.
After this sweet goal by Mike Ribeiro in overtime, giving the Dallas Stars a 3-2 win over the Calgary Flames, we have a new request: Can Stars commentator Daryl "Razor" Reaugh please describe every game-winning goal in the NHL?
To review, Razor called the goal:
"Six shades of sexy."
"Round the house … pull it in … pull its pants down and SPANK it home."
"There's the manipulation up top; here comes the stimulation — KABANG!"
Now, if you'll excuse us, we're off to take a cold shower …
One more Ribeiro note: In his postgame "first star" interview, he had a message for the sparse crowd at the Dallas home game. "Hopefully you guys can invite your friends for next game, so we can have more people [here]," said Ribeiro. A few more goals like that — and a few more points in the standings, as Dallas is right in the playoff race — and the fans will return.
