Blackhawks win Stanley Cup on Dave Bolland’s third period goal

BOSTON – Dave Bolland’s third period goal handed the Chicago Blackhawks the 2013 Stanley Cup, as they won Game 6 of the Final, 3-2, over the Boston Bruins.

Bolland collected a rebound off the left post and put it past Tuukka Rask with 59 seconds left in regulation, scoring Chicago’s second goal in a 17-second span late in the third period. Earlier, Bryan Bickell scored at 18:44 to tie the Bruins, who had taken a lead at 12:11 on a Milan Lucic goal.

Corey Crawford made 23 saves for the victory, as Chicago won the Cup for the second time in four seasons.

Patrick Kane won the Conn Smythe for playoff MVP.
