Eulogy: Remembering the 2012-13 New York Rangers

(Ed. Note: As the Stanley Cup Playoffs continue, we're bound to lose some friends along the journey. We've asked for these losers, gone but not forgotten, to be eulogized by the people who knew the teams best: The bloggers who hated them the most. Here are Pittsburgh Penguins bloggers and Eulogy MVPs Derek and Adam from The Pensblog. Again, this was not written by us. Also: This is a roast and you will be offended by it, so don't take it so seriously.)

When Wysh came to us to about a Eulogy for this year, we had a choice to make. We've done the Flyers and Capitals in the past. The Flyers were not an option for us this year, and that is hilarious. Puck Daddy's own Ryan Lambert did a stand-up job in his Caps eulogy.

At the time of our decision, we looked at the Eastern Conference playoff seedings, and it looked like a foregone conclusion that the Pens and Rangers would meet somewhere in the playoffs.

So we chose the Rangers.

Well, this is awkward…

But it actually works out. See, playing Puck Daddy is like playing Madison Square Garden, a.k.a. "The World's Most Famous Arena." It's where the best in the game are invited to showcase their skills.

Another similarity between the two is the amount of stupidity present in the spectators.

Over the years, we've noticed something about the comments section in every Puck Daddy Eulogy. It's become a cesspool of unoriginality and predictability. The one word to define the comments section would be "ordinary."

After witnessing the brilliance of Megalodon, The Royal Half, and the Excellence of Execution that is Pension Plan Puppets blasted in the humiliating Yahoo! Puck Daddy comments section this playoff year, we wanted to change our tact.

Instead of us trolling the easily trollable Rangers fans, we're just gonna let the Yahoo! commenters do the work for us ...

Here’s the Rangers Eulogy, Puck Daddy Commenters Edition:
