No. 1 Star: Vladimir Sobotka, St. Louis Blues
With two goals 1:20 apart in the third period, Sobotka not only completed his first career NHL hat trick, but also helped the Blues come back from a 3-1 deficit en route to a 4-3 overtime win over the San Jose Sharks. In the extra frame, it was Patrick Berglund tipping home a Barret Jackman shot to give the Blues their second straight win. Before Saturday, Sobotka had never recorded a multi-goal game in his 295-game NHL career.
No. 3 Star: Sergei Bobrovsky, Columbus Blue Jackets
Bob earned his first career NHL shutout with a 30-save, 3-0 blanking of the Detroit Red Wings. Cam Atkinson, Jack Johnson and Nick Foligno all scored for the Blue Jackets to give them their third straight win over the Red Wings this season. Columbus has won their season series with the Detroit for the first time in franchise history.
No. 3 Star: Tuukka Rask, Boston Bruins
The Bruins scored all three of their goals within a span of 2:18 midway through the first period as they cruised to a 3-0 win over the Philadelphia Flyers. Tyler Seguin, Chris Kelly and Daniel Paille were the goal scorers for Boston. Rask made 23 saves for his second shutout of the season and 13th of his career. Seguin's goal came off a beauty assist from Milan Lucic:
Honorable mention: John Tavares scored his 99th and 100th goals of his career (both on the power play) 30 seconds apart in the third period as the New York Islanders pulled away from the Washington Capitals for a 5-2 victory. Brad Boyes and Frans Nielsen both chipped in two points ... Alexander Semin and Jiri Tlusty each recorded three points and Dan Ellis made 31 saves as the Carolina Hurricanes doubled up the New Jersey Devils 6-3. Canes rookie Chris Terry's first NHL goal stood as the game winner. Carolina has won five of six ... Brian Gionta had a goal and an assist and Brendan Gallagher capped off a Montreal Canadiens third period comeback with his seventh of the year with 7:57 remaining to beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-3. The Canadiens scored three times in the final frame to remain atop the Eastern Conference standings with 36 points ... Sidney Crosby scored in regulation and put home the deciding shootout tally as the Pittsburgh Penguins got by the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-4. The Maple Leafs fought back after being down 3-1, but Pittsburgh got Crosby's goal and two Marc-Andre Fleury saves in the shootout to earn the extra point. Mike Smith made 20 saves and Rob Klinkhammer's first NHL goal ended up as the winner as the Phoenix Coyotes slipped by the Dallas Stars 2-1. Jaromir Jagr scored career goal No. 675 in the loss for the Stars ... Mikko Koivu and Matt Cullen both scored in the shootout for the Minnesota Wild as they edged the Nashville Predators 2-1. Niklas Backstrom made 24 saves for his fourth win in five starts. In his return to Nashville, Ryan Suter recorded an assist and played a game-high 28:59 ... Three points from Justin Williams and Slava Voynov were more than enough for the Los Angeles Kings to down the Calgary Flames 6-2. Jonathan Quick needed to make just 17 saves as the Kings won their fourth out of five. Jeff Carter scored his 13th goal in 13 games. Before the game, the team honored former goaltender Kelly Hrudey with a ceremony and handed out bandanas to fans in attendance:

Dishonorable mention: Detroit won just 17 of 51 draws ... The Red Wings are now 0-for-36 on the power play in 10 games away from Joe Louis Arena ... Silly referees gave Vinny Prospal a 10-minute misconduct for pointing at the scoreboard after a scrum with Justin Abdelkader ... San Jose has lost five straight to the Blues at HP Pavilion ... Evgeni Malkin did not participate in overtime or the shootout after leaving the game with an upper-body injury ... Colin Wilson needed to leave the game in the second period with an upper-body injury after getting checked into the boards ... Will Martin Hanzal get a call from the NHL for his hit on Jamie Benn?
