Flames activate Backlund, send Baertschi to AHL (Yahoo! Sports)

CALGARY, Alberta (AP) -- The Calgary Flames activated center Mikael Backlund from injured reserve on Saturday and sent left wing Sven Baertschi to Abbotsford of the American Hockey League to make room on the roster.
