Sheffield Steelers goalie shoves fan, no one seems to care (VIDEO)

John DeCaro is a goalie for the Sheffield Steelers of the Elite Premier Ice Hockey League, having previously played for teams like the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs and the University of Alaska-Anchorage.

He also doesn’t like getting yapped at by paying customers, apparently, as one fan discovered as the players left the ice following a Challenge Cup win over the Dundee Stars.

Picture, for a moment, if an NHL player did this leaving the ice after a game. Oh, that’s right, you totally can: The late Rick Rypien was suspended six games for grabbing a Minnesota Wild fan.

What punishment would befall DeCaro? Er, uh, nothing really. From The Star:

DeCaro, who has been criticised by some Dundee fans after a confrontation with a teenage fan after last week’s first leg, is unlikely to face any repercussions.

A League spokesman said: “Any off-ice incident or request for supplementary discipline is the responsibility of the 10 Elite League clubs. The disciplinary committee has had no contact from Stars or Steelers following last week’s match.”

So there you go. Although we’d like some more information about the “confrontation with a teenage fan” thing.
