The last time we checked in on the AHL's Syracuse Crunch, they were completing a valiant comeback from down 5-0 to the Binghamton Senators after a goalie fight between Riku Helenius and Robin Lehner spiced things up.
On Saturday night, the Crunch were hosting the St. John's Ice Caps and with the score tied 2-2 early in the second period, fireworks erupted after a hit in the corner, which eventually led to goaltenders Dustin Tokarski and Eddie Pasquale facing off with one another at center ice:
Here's an ice level view via @JGHoughtaling:
Both goalies were given two minutes for leaving the crease, five for fighting and a 10-minute game misconduct. Mark Dekanich would come in for the Ice Caps, while Helenius would enter for Tokarski.
That's a pretty solid win for Tokarski, and makes us wonder what kind of tilt he and Lehner would provide.
