This fight from is from Monday's game between Vityaz Chekhov, where Gillies plays, and Barys Astana, where former Vityaz brawler Mirasty is playing this season.
It was a good tilt, no question … and yet, one comes away a little disappointed by the stalemate at the end. We're not always ones for the MMA-style leg tackle to end a hockey fight, but it would have added a symbolic victory to one of the combatants.
Good to see Mirasty give a better performance in this fight than in his previous KHL tilt with Gillies, which was an emphatic win for the former New York Islanders crazy person:
Obviously, the Mohawk was weighing him down.
