Watch David Koci earn 6-game suspension for hit from behind, fight Boris Valabik (VIDEO)

During his 142 games over five NHL seasons, David Koci was your definition of a "goon". He scored just three goals in his career, took a total of 33 shots, averaged 4:15 of ice per game, and tallied 461 penalty minutes, with 42 career fights, according to HockeyFights.com. He's best known for being on the ugly end of a few Zdeno Chara bombs and, most recently, for running Washington Capitals defenseman Mike Green and getting away with only a fine.

Ah, the Colin Campbell NHL.

Koci joined Sparta Praha last season and has stayed consistent racking up over 200 PIMs through 60-plus games with the team.

On Friday, Koci (6-foot-6) added to his PIM total by first laying a dirty hit from behind on Robert Petrovicky and then dropping the mitts with Boris Valabik (6-foot-7), who you might remember as Sidney Crosby's speed bag:

Petrovicky would be fine, saying afterward, "My old bones do not feel it too much". In a measure of revenge, he would score the go-ahead power play goal four minutes later en route to a 4-2 victory for his HC Kometa Brno side.

For his troubles, the Czech Extraliga suspended Koci six games for hit and will be out of the lineup until after Christmas.
