Just a few weeks ago, to honor America (and comic book nerds everywhere), the ECHL's Toledo Walleye donned fantastic Captain America jerseys as part of their "Superhero Night", as well as for Veterans Day.
As part of one of their upcoming "Walleye Scout Experience" dates, the team will honor the Boy Scouts of America with their very own special jersey for a game against the Orlando Solar Bears on Jan. 5.
Sure, the khaki color is a bit strong, but the neckerchief and scout badges is great attention to detail.
The jerseys will be up for bid in a live auction after the game, with proceeds benefiting Boy Scouts of America.
We're holding out hope that the Walleye somehow include a Pinewood Derby competition into the post-game festivities. I could never get out of Webelos because I kept losing that damn car race, even though it was designed in honor of the great Hakan Loob.
So, with that ...
