NHL, PA meet informally; Bryzgalov’s new tiger mask; NHL promotion, relegation? (Puck Headlines)

• Michael Grange on Donald Fehr and the CBA talks: "Don Fehr's job is to get a good deal for this group of players, certainly. • Bettman, Daly, Fehr and his brother, Steve, met informally for two hours on Friday. No agenda was set or proposals made. [TSN]

• Two NHLs? With promotion and relegation? Jesse Spector on this radical idea: "It is clear that even with the implementation of a salary cap coming out of the last lockout, several teams simply cannot compete financially with the league's heavyweights. So, why not cut the dead weight?"  [Sporting News]

• After casually demanding a trade in June, Anaheim Ducks forward Bobby Ryan took a step back this week in an interview with Eric Stephens: "But about 10 minutes after the interview, I was like, 'Gosh, I shouldn't have done that, seeing that I'm teeing off on the 37th hole of the day after 11 o'clock.' • Ville Leino talks about what he's done over the off-season and apparently has a fallback job should the lockout happen. [Buffalo News]

• Alex Ovechkin confirmed on Friday that should there be a lockout he will play in the KHL. [CSN Washington]
