• Good stuff from Pierre LeBrun with Dustin Brown, on who the lockout could impact the Los Angeles Kings' surging popularity: "Growing the game here in L.A., we have 15,000 season-ticket [plans] now. ... With the lockout looming, I don't know how many of those season-ticket holders are going to be season-ticket holders if we start in November, December or later. ... We have all this momentum going; again it goes back to 45 years of frustration and now everyone is excited about hockey in Los Angeles. • Last night, news broke that the Montreal Canadiens might be in violation of the Quebec provincial labour board and that their players might legally not be allowed to be locked out next weekend. Today, defenseman Josh Gorges said that if the players win in this dispute, Canadiens players will be paid while the rest of the League is locked out. [@Wyshynski]
