Last month we told about the Lowell Spinners hosting Tyler Seguin Speed Dating Night, where Boston-area males and females could have the opportunity to spend a few minutes privately with the Boston Bruins star during a game.
On Wednesday night, the dreams of puck bunnies came true as Seguin showed up, threw out the first pitch and then spent the game with a number of young ladies:
From the Bruins:
One guaranteed spot was available in an eBay auction, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to benefit Lowell Spinners Charities. One fan was picked from the Lowell Spinners Facebook. Other fans had a chance to win a spot at the game itself by purchasing a gameday program and some winners were even selected at random.
The last spot was "earned" as four female fans at the game who wore Seguin shirts participated in a between inning challenge.
The night almost took a turn for the worse as a foul ball headed in the direction of Seguin, but his fortunes were saved by the cell phone of Spinners VP Dan Beaulieu:
The box score read 8-3 in favor of the Spinners at the end of the night, but no word what Seguin's scoreboard reads as of this morning.
