Watch bloody head-on collision between Panthers’ John Madden, Tomas Kopecky in Game 7 (VIDEO)

Scary scene very early in Game 7 between the Florida Panthers and New Jersey Devils in Sunrise on Thursday night: Teammates John Madden and Tomas Kopecky collided just outside the defensive zone at 2:07 of the first, sending Madden down on the ice, bleeding badly.

Ouch.

Madden had the puck, skating with his head down, while Kopecky was transitioning to offense; Madden took the brunt of the impact, with pieces of his helmet flying and blood dripping on the ice before he left the game.

Kopecky remained in the game. Madden returned with just over 5 minutes left in the first.
