Blues’ Alex Pietrangelo leaves Game 1 after being boarded by Dwight King (VIDEO)

Late in the second period of Saturday night's Game 1 between the Los Angeles Kings and St. Louis Blues the Western Conference's No. 2 seed saw their stud blueliner leave the game after this boarding penalty by Dwight King:

King was given two minutes for boarding, but Matt Greene would end up scoring shorthanded for Los Angeles 10 seconds later to take a 2-1 lead. Pietrangelo left the game and did not return.

Is a Shanaban in order here? That might depend on the severity of the injury, if any, on Pietrangelo. It was a bad shove from behind and a few feet from the boards, but wasn't overly vicious and King has no history. Should the Blues defenseman be okay, King might just be $2,500 lighter in the wallet and given a warning. If Petrangelo is indeed hurt, then Kings forward might sit for a game.
