Caps stay in playoff hunt, beat Boston 3-2 in SO (Yahoo! Sports)

Brooks Laich scored in the fourth round of a shootout to give Washington a 3-2 victory over the Boston Bruins on Thursday night and help the Capitals keep pace in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Washington is tied with Buffalo with 86 points in pursuit of the eighth and final playoff spot in the East.
