Purcell scores 2 as Lightning top Stars (AP)

Teddy Purcell scored twice, and Mathieu Garon made 27 saves to help the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Dallas Stars 2-1 on Friday night. With the game even at 1, Purcell carried the puck from the right circle into the slot and backhanded a shot past goalie Kari Lehtonen at 3:36 of the final period for Purcell's 11th of the season.
