Gustavsson earned his third shutout of the season with a 25-save night as the Maple Leafs blanked the New York Islanders 3-0. Matthew Lombardi now has four goals in four games after scoring a pair as the Leafs moved up into a tie for eighth in the Eastern Conference. The two teams will complete a home-and-home on Tuesday night on Long Island.
No. 2 Star: Devan Dubnyk, Edmonton Oilers
In taking down the San Jose Sharks 2-1, Dubnyk made 44 saves in regulation and overtime and three in the shootout for only his third win in nine starts. Jordan Eberle scored in regulation and Taylor Hall notched the game-winner in the shootout as the Oilers won just for the sixth time in 26 games.
No. 3 Star: Mike Fisher, Nashville Predators
The Predators won for the 11th time in 13 games with a 4-1 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Fisher scored twice and Pekka Rinne made 25 saves to earn his eighth straight win. In his last nine games, Fisher has 11 points and, according to the AP, the Predators are 14-2-1 when he records a point. Nashville capitalized on two of their five power play opportunities to help improve their record against Columbus this season to 5-0-1.
Honorable mention: Goals from Jeff Skinner and Tim Brent were enough to squeeze out a 2-1 Carolina Hurricanes victory over the Winnipeg Jets. The win pulls Carolina within five points of Winnipeg in the Eastern Conference and gives the Canes eight wins in their last 11 at home. Cam Ward stopped 29 shots for his 18th win ... Milestone games tonight: Scott Nichol (600), Chris Mason (300), Jiri Tlusty (200) ... Jimmy Howard made 21 saves and got into a tiff at the end of the game as the Detroit Red Wings downed the St. Louis Blues 3-1. The win was Howard's 30 of the year and Detroit's 17th straight at Joe Louis Arena. Pavel Datsyuk picked up two points, which included this lovely backhander:
Jonathan Quick's 27 saves and Kyle Clifford's Gordie Howe Hat Trick helped pace the Los Angeles Kings to a 4-1 win over the Ottawa Senators.

Dishonorable mention: John Tavares' 12-game point streak came to an end ... The loss ended Jaroslav Halak's 7-game win streak ...
