Mississippi RiverKings bring back wild turkey jerseys featuring turtle sniper

If we were to give an award to the minor league hockey team that designs a promotional jersey right down to the very last detail, the SPHL's Mississippi RiverKings would likely be near to the top of the frontrunners.

Please recall last January when the RiverKings teamed up with the National Wild Turkey Federation, a national nonprofit conservation and hunting organization, and created one of the more unique jerseys we've ever seen, featuring a giant turkey, its backside and a modified logo featuring a turtle carrying a hunting rifle.

On Saturday night, the RiverKings will once again wear a hunting-themed jersey for their game against the Fayetteville FireAntz.

We're all for the changing of logos to make gentle creatures like the turtle much more terrifying. The addition of the hunting rifle will help that.

After the game, the jerseys will be auctioned off to benefit the NWTF, as they're the RiverKings M.V.P. Nonprofit Organization of the night.
